Colorway is a recent addition to Creative Nourishment — an additional, monthly essay for paid subscribers for the upcoming year. Each piece includes more intimate details, deeper dives into color and memory, personal practice, and the Odette Press collections. This series pairs reflections on color with memory and to take care. Some include playlists, images, and reading lists. Today, an essay on olive, togetherness, summer, and brine with a favorite salad dressing and applications of olive for skincare, and a code for 10% off Olive Green notebooks.

Chartreuse-green-gold catches the afternoon and shimmers in the sunlight. A bottle of olive oil held with relief on the car ride home from the store. A jar of cerignola, the fading memory of a plate piled high with castelvetrano, kalamata, manzanilla. Lemon rind feta and drops of citrus-laden olive oil left as remnants in summer salad bowls ready to be scooped up in open crumb of fresh bread. Olive, liquid gold, fruit and tree resilient, oil pooled by the teaspoon in the basin of the hand and poured into pores.
