Sensing: March
A exploration into the vividness of living, plus prompts for your creative practice

Sensing the Month is an exploration into the sensory nature of living — what I’m seeing, smelling, tasting, noticing, feeling throughout the month, with prompts for your creative writing practice. Pair these with a journal.
See, Season, Unfolding
Winter blue gray unfolds into green. And grass is soft on the ground, and I soften, sloping eyes across movement of shoreline. Spring brings up. Gentle movements grow from Winter stillness. March slopes and stretches into April, while buds push ground in anticipation from the ends of trees in the city, on the shore. I felt surprised, realizing how much I’d come, for once, to love cold, to feel the silence, and anticipate the cold ground, the world absent much color. Surprise, then, when green came, greeting. Spring eyes, opening wide to first lines of grass.
